Katy is the inspiration behind and creator of Sound Training. Prior to developing the programme she was a Senior Learning and Language Advisor in a large urban unitary authority. Katy has 27 years’ teaching experience, specialising in supporting pupils with dyslexia. She holds a Post Graduate Certificate (PGC) in Special Education, a PGC in Dyslexia and is an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA).

Claire is the driving force behind the growth and development of the company and those within it. Passionate about education, personal development and raising standards, Claire brings 30 years’ experience in teaching, training and management to the role and is committed to channelling her leadership experience and expertise to lead the whole company to success in existing and new sectors.

Training and Development Manager
Anne has previously held roles as Vice Principal, Director of Studies and SENCO and uses this experience to monitor and develop quality and training processes and activity, which are paramount to the consistency, success and potential growth of both Lexonik and Sound Training.
Involved in Sound Training from the start, Lisa is a qualified teacher, who brings huge passion and commitment to the recruitment and training of our national team of teachers, ensuring standardisation of delivery and impact of Lexonik in the UK and internationally.
Simon is an experienced consultant specialising in leadership, management and team development concentrating on both strategic and operational issues. A well-organised, positive and enthusiastic person with over 25 years’ experience at senior executive level. Simon is also a Member of the River Tees Multi Academy Trust which provides education for learners aged 8 – 18 who are unable to attend their usual mainstream provision.
Business Growth Manager
Michelle brings her 20 years’ experience and understanding of the demands on schools and teachers to the team and is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the business. This includes ensuring customer service and support of the highest standard.
Curriculum and Professional Development Lead
Sarah has previously held roles of Deputy Head Teacher for Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Assistant Head Teacher, Head of English and brings over 20 years of curriculum, teacher training, leadership development and classroom experience to Lexonik. Sarah is passionate in empowering and inspiring teachers and learning facilitators to maximise their performance in order to allow students to exceed their potential.
Lynne brings over 25 years of administrative experience to her role as PA to the Directors. Her invaluable skills support the Directors to work towards company goals both generally on a day to day basis as well as with specific projects.
Ranjith has recently completed a PhD at Northumbria University in areas related to artificial intelligence and has experience in application development for education. Working in partnership with Teesside University as part of a Knowledge Transfer Programme, the aim is to bring and develop expert knowledge in machine learning to the team and create state of the art digital solutions to complement the Lexonik portfoliio – watch this space for Lexonik Digital!
IT Project Manager
Sarah has a masters degree in computing with experience of software development for sector applications. Passionate about technology and innovation, Sarah works closely with the team to support and deliver the digital vision for our literacy developments.
Phil has 30 years of experience in the Financial Services sector. This includes working for large national financial institutions, team leading and management, sales development and advising sales executives as well as running his own business for several years. He is an enthusiastic and driven individual who uses his vast experience to support and develop the existing sales team, with the focus on Lexonik’s continual growth. His personal interest in education, acting as a school governor, only adds to his enthusiasm for the benefits of Lexonik.
Senior Consultant - International Development
Ben joins the Lexonik team to support the international growth and development of the Lexonik programme. He brings 10+ years’ experience in operations and business management in the Education Skills, Employability and Consultancy sectors, both in the UK and Internationally. Since 2011 he has been working closely with Public, private and 3rd Sector organisations in the Middle East to develop, implement and support their workforce development strategies.
