Edward has over two years experience developing businesses and helping to partner with other businesses. Additional skills, such as becoming versed in developing teaching sports days for children, have supported Edward’s combined interest in education and sales.
As well as 6 years of experience working in customer services, Rachel has worked with children and young adults within both the education sector and the community. Previously working with learning and communication skills (British Sign Language), Rachel is passionate about helping all ages and abilities access learning resources and support.
Nichola has over 23 years experience in customer focused and sales roles with 12 years experience of account management. Over the years, she has maintained many contacts in the educational sector helping to manage and sustain their accounts. Nichola’s mission is to help increase the level of achievement and confidence amongst students and to share the passion of Lexonik through the excellent training to schools, enabling incredible results.
Gemma has over 10 years experience in sales and business development. With a transition in 2015 into the education sector, she was able to successfully form partnerships with schools and local authority teams throughout the UK.
Jayson moved to the North East, from London, to study at Teesside University. Since then he has gained over 10 years of sales experience and has a comprehensive understanding of the educational environment having worked with business managers and training coordinators within schools.
US Implementation Coordinator
Steve has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and is a former USA school principal with over 20 years experience. Steve was the first American principal to pilot Lexonik in Florida (in 2015) and has been passionately advocating since. He’s dedicated to raising attainment and assisting schools with all aspects of program implementation.
Lorna taught science for 18 years in London before working as advisor and team leader on the Specialist Schools Programme at SSAT. Lorna joined Sound Training in 2013 and brings her experience and enthusiasm to the role of supporting and training teachers to maximise the impact of Lexonik in schools.
Clare spent some of her career working within the hospital sector as a teacher and trainer both in the UK and abroad, later gaining her PhD. Subsequently, both as a maths teacher and as a primary school teacher, she became passionate about achievement in the core curriculum, understanding that gains in literacy and vocabulary can drive improvements in confidence and achievement across the wider curriculum. The combination of her interests, passions and previous experience led her to the delivery and training of Lexonik.
Tricia van der Vliet
Tricia has been a Lexonik teacher since 2013. She has a wealth of experience in teaching, training, senior leadership roles within schools and as an Advisory Officer for a Local Authority, specialising in Primary English and School Improvement. She has an innovative and creative approach to teaching both children and adults alike.
Jo is an enthusiastic and energetic English teacher who has delivered Lexonik in schools across the Midlands since 2013. Her first hand experience of teaching the programme means she is ideally placed to support and advise our new partners.
Etta Cohen OBE
Etta taught for 22 years in inner city schools before to leaving to work in the public sector, linking education with business. She then ran her own business for 15 years, supporting women to achieve their full potential, for which she was awarded an OBE. Etta is passionate about the role of literacy in ensuring every individual has the opportunity to succeed.
Ian has twenty-five years’ experience of teaching and working with children and young adults in the Bristol area. He has extensive experience of delivering Lexonik, having been part of a team that successfully delivered the programme to over 600 students at Orchard School in Bristol.
